Holly Birmingham

The Victoria Independent School District (VISD) Board of Trustees is delighted to announce the appointment of Holly Birmingham as the new principal of Dudley Elementary for the 2023-24 school year following the June 22 regular monthly board meeting.

Holly Birmingham is a seasoned educator and administrator with an outstanding track record in providing exceptional leadership and fostering a positive learning environment. With a career spanning 20 years in education, Ms. Birmingham brings a wealth of experience to her new role.

She has held various positions throughout her career, including elementary teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. Having served as the Assistant Principal at Dudley Elementary for the past two years, Ms. Birmingham has demonstrated her exceptional leadership skills and deep understanding of the needs and aspirations of the school community. She has consistently exhibited a passion for nurturing the potential of every student and maintaining a welcoming  and inclusive educational environment.

Expressing her gratitude for the opportunity, Ms. Birmingham said, "I am incredibly honored and excited to serve as the Principal of Dudley Elementary. I am committed to fostering an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. I look forward to working closely with our dedicated team of educators, parents, and community partners to ensure the success of our students.”

An elementary principal’s primary duties include directing and managing instruction programs and supervising operations at a campus level, providing leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service, overseeing compliance with district policies, the success of instructional programs, and operating all campus activities.
